TR2/3/3A Dayton Wire Wheels

Has anyone recently obtained new Dayton wire wheels for a TR? I have a back order for a set of 48 spoke chrome wires that has been pending for many many months, and I have heard rumors that they may be fading away, or may not be doing some of the more obscure sizes like the ones I want. I know they wait for a certain number of orders before they do a batch, but geez it seems like it's been a while.

I found Dayton's supply to vendors to be somewhat hit or miss even on popular sizes - they seem to allow demand to develop then manufacture in response to that.

FWIW - The Daytons I got were pretty good, but the Dunlops (60 spoke) I got for the TR3 about 15 years ago have been just great.

Curious why you want 48-spoke chrome?

My car came with 48 spoke chrome wires, so I want to do the time warp thing. I think the 48 spoke wires have a great vintage look, and the Daytons are supposed to be really high quality so I am not worried about needing the extra sturdiness of the 60 spoke variety. The early 2s had so little chrome that the chrome wires look really good too, with my Alfins peeking through.
