Actually if you have seen the movie "War Games" then you have seen Snohomish, the High School where Matthew Broderick's character went to school is still there, I drove one of my kids past it a short time ago and they recognized it from the movie.

My Dad was born in Snohomish in 1940.
My Great Grandfather moved his wife, my Grandfather and his three sisters to Snohomish from Placerville Colorado in 1900.

It is a cute little town, the old town area is very nice with old west style homes and businesses still up and running.

I think the windows are remarkably clean - just sayin'

That's because it's run by Mayor Han Kerchief and Deputy Mayor Nguyen Dex!

Snohomish is a cute little town know for it's antique shops and nice old homes now, but I remember back in the '80's when it was a little bit more rough and tumble and best known for having one of the last XXX theater in the area.

So ive heard a lot about this... im new to sprites, what are sprite people looking at b210 motors and trannys?

Used to replace the standard box in your car without cutting the body/frame. Also has syncro all gears and there are 5 of them. Top is like overdrive.

210 not b210
Totally different, b210 trans does not fit a spridget.
Yes, it's great especially for driving long distances like some of us plan to do in July...

You mean this is a direct bolt on to replace the motor that the sprite has already?
So Motor and tranny bolt right up?
Same motor mounts and all?

They're talking about the transmission only. The Datsun engine and trans won't drop in with out modification to the chassis.
You can buy an adapter kit (some on this site have made their own I believe) that mates the Datsun trans to a 948/1098/1275 engine with out modifying the chassis. That gives you a 5sp with with syncros in all gears to include first gear. Very nice upgrade, of course the commercially available conversion kits aren't cheap, close to $900.00 PLUS the trans.

I have the Datsun 1500 engine and dogleg 5 speed in my Midget.
It required changes to the motor mounts.
Mine has the A14 GX type head with a pair of HIF4 carbs.
It almost fits under the bonnet, if doing it again I would make it all 1/2 inch lower in the engine bay. Right now the front carb top just touches the underside of the bonnet.

Roy covered it pretty well. There are a variety of sources for the 5-speed conversion. The Rivergate conversion has a pretty good website that explains their process.

There are also a couple members here who have kits available and can assist.

ohh so this is just for the tranny. Ok cool thanks

just you just made new motor mounts and the datsun motor and tranny fit (other than being too high)?
