The screw in bulbs and sockets are trash on my 54 year old 57 dash. Go figure. What have you found to be the best replacements for these bulb/socket combinations?

wow you got 57 years out of light bulbs! get new bulbs, or maybe its time for a new wiring harness

On the serious side, I would think you should be able to clean up the sockets. If you replace the harness and the blubs, I would think that should give you many years of service. The sockets should not suffer from ware but might have corroded. If you are looking of upgrading the lights, then you might need to use another type of socket. I have not had my car on the road for years, so my experience is not current.
