One of my recent favorites is one that @DrEntropy turned me on to - The Sandbaggers. Been watching it on BritBox. The series is about the British Secret Intelligence Service (SIS) during the cold war. The lead character, Neil Burnside, oversees a special section within the SIS comprised of a small elite group of spies called "sandbaggers" who take on the more politically complex and sensitive missions.
