Remember, sometimes they sell because they're cute.

Well, er, yes... but if I want cute I'd find a puppy far cheaper... and they don't depreciate with age/use.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif

I'd think spending 1/5 the money and driving the @@@@ out of it would be more sensible... then again, maybe thay already have such a driver and thnk its suitable as a "collectable".... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

Hey All, I think that even if you started out with just a few parts and pieces then you still wouldn`t end up spending that much on a car like this. This person definatly has more "money then brains". It dosn`t take that much $$$ to restore most cars.(esp. the kind that one would want to drive on a regular basis) Don`t know why someone would even consider such a car for such a price. But, then again, it is that auction house that pumps up the price.(all do as thats how you make money at auctions, but not like that) If they were to even auction it ANYWHERE elese the price I don`t think would have been that high. It just that auction house that charges(and gets) so much.(the prestege I guess) I LOVE my $700usd tr-7.(the limerick) Hey, maybe I could put it in that auction and then get big $$$ for it.(used, unkowen miles, not compleatly stock, ect.) Hey tr-7s(and other trs) are considered "collectable" right? Lets cash in. I say lets start a triumph auction house, charge outragious prices, and get "rich" fast. We could use the exuse that "well, they have been restored to the "highest standard"(ha,ha) and are the rarist around." Withthat we could then we could get these people to shop there and we could croner the market on LBCs! Works for me!! Robbie in wyoming
