Spring last Thursday in beautiful North Georgia...but Fall yesterday (Sat) and Winter today (Sun)...not sure about Summer, must've slept through it!
But Thursday was glorious. Two drives in the TR3, one in the morning with a light jacket and another in late afternoon with short sleeves.
Now that I think about it, I believe Summer occuurred Thursday night and into Friday because Friday a buddy came by and I started up the TR3 for him to hear...from outside the car...switch on...no choke...pushed the button...VAROOM! I can only do that during the Summer!
It was spring last wednesday, but winter came back for the weekend! It may be spring again one or two days next week, we will have to wait and see. At least it isn`t wintertime gloomy ALL of the time here now! Soon the warm spring/summer days will take over completely. I can`t wait!
Paul,
Come to my club in CT and I can guarantee you a foursome of TR6s. John Mitchell frequently brings his TR6 up from North Haven and plays at my club and I'm treating Al Gary and his 5 speed tri-carb 6 to a few rounds for all the help he gave me with the engine and 5 speed conversion. We're right off of I-91 just above New Haven. https://www.wallingfordtradition.com/
Today was a work on car day......one of those 2 steps forward and 1 step back days!
Eric- Finished on Wed. Hail, lightening and cold weather to finish the trip. Mon. and Tues. were gorgeous. Bandon Dunes, great views but not my favorite fairways.
Brought the spider home from the winter storage on the 19th. Opened the garage door yesterday and today, the car saw that white stuff falling, and told me "Don't even think about it!!"
The course here is just opening up. Where the sun can get at it is is open. In the woods, trees, there can be as much as two feet of snow. Out of the 27 holes I could probably play nine, if I could pick anc choose. Supposed to rain tonight and tomorrow, that should help. Yeller is just sitting there waiting to wake up.
Same here on the island, Don. A bit nippy as well.
The water temps at a very brisk 82*F. The surfers and
jetski freaks are still wearing their wet suits to
keep warm.
