tr6oldtimer, ive got 4 routers! up to 3.1/4 h.p. so there!!
, id made up a dedicated router table for such work and you are correct it does a great job but it took up much valuable shop space and a customer offered me some good bucks for it, i do still use routers "hand held" and made up a better adjustable guide, but basil was asking about his new adjustable thingy, the problem with his type is that when you go to tighten up the setting to lock it in it moves out of adjustment and it can be very frustrating, id first bought one of those but returned it for my stack set,....side note... i also keep pictures of guitars around my shop to remind me that i need my fingers to play, i know too many seasond pro woodworkers that have modified digits.
