That was the question my 3 1/2 year old daughter asked this AM when I was about to bring her to school in the minivan instead of the TR8.

Gotta love it.

Train em young.

hehehe...cute /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

My son (15) has his eye on our Jeep Liberty but can drive my 8 with the 5 speed. My daughter who is 13, has laid claim to my 8 since she was 6 and helping me with the rebuild. Today she helped me replace a fuel line. I beleive she may have learned fractions on my craftsman wrenches. Kids..... Have to love them

As long as she dosen't tell the teacher how her dad brought her to school with a wedgie. hehehehehe
My dot now wants me to take her everywhere in the CJ5. Especially on days like today when I have the doors off. I try to keep it limited to short hops and backroads as all it has is lap belts (and a bad rep for rollovers) But she really gets a kick out of it. I can't wait to finish the TR2.

That's great -- hook em while they're still little.

I'd have rather gone in the TR8 at her age as well. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Told my 17 yo son that I would teach him to drive the '3 if he had a 3.5 or better.

...should have set the bar higher.

I bought my two sons MGB's(hence the two 78's) when they were just little kids(about 3 or 4) and since they've been hooked. My oldest is now 18 and I began teaching him to drive standard last summer...But now he's in a rush to learn because he got a job working in an emission testing facility and needs to know how to drive standard properly, so we're going to rent a miata next weekend and let him tear it up. My younger son(13) has laid claim to the XK8 also, and I gave my 84 Camaro to the older one(now in storage with the MGB's)with the intention of it being his daily driver....butttt, we both agreed that it's too old and nice to drive in the winter so we got the Sonoma as well.....So much for downsizing the fleet.

My 19 year old daughter learned last summer how to drive my "B". Any day she'll be home from college, so I'm trying to find a way to graciously lose my keys (HE HE). I still don't know what I was thinking.

My 18 year old son is a SUPRA guy... All he's done since I got the midget is make fun and laugh at the little guy (I thought he enjoyed watching my struggles a little bit too much)....last week I let him take it out for a drive..OOPS. He came in and proclaimed he was goin to sell his 1990 turbo supra and begin looking for a B. At least he had the decency to understand HE AIN"T GETTING MINE.

Yeah...My 18 year old is a Camaro guy, thats why I gave him mine. But recently he joined the GMC truck owners club too. I enjoy other non british cars too, I am enthusiastic about all cars, even my daily drivers.

My parents came for a visit and were surprised to see that I "spent good money on a beat up old car." I got it fired up and took turns driving my mom and dad around town. They were pretty disappointed this time when they came to visit and the car was on blocks.

When my kids were young (4 and 1) my daily driver was a 1929 Model A Ford fordor. My four year old daughter called it "the bouncy car". Last time she was home from college, she saw my Herald and said she would like to have "one of those". The son has a Stag and will soon be working on a 69 MGB roadster. It is nice that they appreciate quality english rides.
