How does the mounting bracket for the clutch slave cylinder fit in? What am I doing wrong? The book doesn't have a clear picture of where it is supposed to go.

Your going to have to unscrew the line from the slave cyl., put the slave in from the trans side of the mounting bracket. Position slave cyl with the bleed valve on top. When you install the clevis pin use the center hole on trans arm.

Reread you question, the mounting bracket goes on the other side of the trans, closer to the clutch arm, then do the above.

I think the bracket is just upside down. Flip it, still keep it to the front engine plate side and you should be fine. Also, I think you should unhook the hydraulic hose, pass the slave cylinder in from the back of the bracket, then hook the hose back up. That should get the cylinder where you need it.

edit: Marv beat me to it. Not 100% positive the bracket is upside down, but if the slave isn't lining up with the clutch arm then it is.

edit 2: search for a thread on this, we had one in the last year that had a pic of a TR6 setup.

Don't forget the brace that mounts to the oil pan.

I think he's working on a TR6 - there is no brace, and typically the mounting bracket is forward like he has it - if the bracket isn't upside down (likely just my mistake), all he need to do it put the slave in from the back. Its opposite of the TR3 positioning.
