cure for the gas chrisis

ok so shaggy is in the shop Ive rebuilt the carbs and the car was racing when drove it over.
so the butter flys are shut it has been running on miss matched carbs and its roarring way ..... why heck if its not getting gas and running i might be sitting on a gold mine here!!!

Not an unusual problem. It's often caused by air leakage past worn throttle-valve bushings. Maybe other causes, too, that I haven't encountered.
 
well ive just done the carbs so it must be one of the gaskets ....toast

Has it done it since the rebuild?
Are the butterflies centered in the bores?
Could be that one is not centered on the shaft or in backwards taper the wrong way? Partial open throttle
