Cure for the Datsun trans "clunk"!
Many folks who have the "Morrisservice" Datsun trans adapter have a bit of trouble with the grease fitting sometimes (or often)hitting the transmission tunnel.
I have now found that if the grease fitting is removed and replaced with a 1/4-28 x 1/4" long button head screw AND a 1/4" lock washer there is about 1/8" more clearance. This should fix the "clunk" problem. The lock washer is NEEDED to prevent the screw from fouling the u-joint.
I have several of the screws and will send one to anyone who has a Morrisservice conversion and/or needs one for $1.00 plus shipping (it may be less expensive and faster for you to just hit the hardware store yourself).
