Cruise night tonight - interesting observation

For the 2016 model year, only 23% of America's sports car are equipped with a third pedal. https://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars/car-technology/news/a30217/2016-corvette-manual-take-rate/

I gotta say, the LBC design of a 7-speed manual is superior to the Corvette 7-speed manual! Has anyone on the forum driven a new Corvette? I have not, but having 7 speeds (plus reverse) on one stalk _seems_ complicated. Perhaps it is one of those things, once you do it for a while it is easy?

(Note - I love and thoroughly respect the Corvette.)

I've only driven an auto box once, when holidaying in the States

...where a manual transmission gets in the way of drinking coffee, talking on a cell phone, applying makeup, slapping the kids in the back seat...

As you see floating around social media: A picture of a manual gear lever and the caption "Millennial Anti-Theft Device"

We had a pair of the try to carjack a BMW in a parking lot here last summer. As I recall the owner went and sat on a retaining wall, called the police and they were still trying to get out of the lot when the police arrived.
