Creative Spridgets ( https://www.creativespridgets.com/ ) is offering adapters to convert to rear disc brakes (c/w hand brakes), sourced from Nissan Sentras.
Has anyone tried this or has knowledge of the conversion?
We're slogging away, trying to get the later series backing plates etc. etc. installed to go with the front disc conversion/upgrade for our BE but I'm quite intrigued. Thanks, Doug

Doug,
Joels a great guy and posts often on the Austin Healey and MG Experience. He likes to develop DIY projects for Spridgets and is very reasonably priced on his parts...give him a call.

It would appear to me that before going to rear disc's one would want to do something about the fronts. Both should be worked on at once to be effective IMHO.

Kurt.

Think I just found another future project.

Joel and I have been corresponding about converting the MK1 Sprite rear over to disc brakes being that my car has rear disc. The issues are the way the rear upright is canted forward. This make it diffcult with his current kit to function with the original rod e-brake configuration. I’m not sure if he’s perfected it yet, but with time he may find the right combinations!!

He has had a customer successfully install it on a 1/4 elliptical car without any major deviations.
