Crazy winter sports

When I was a kid, I watched a couple people take a Hobie cat down a mountain at a ski resort.

I've never seen that before.

At Lake Hopatcong (and several other lakes near me), ice boating is popular in the Winter. Couldn't find any local vids, but here's one of ice boaters on the Navisink (about 45 minutes from me).

Might have been a one time deal for all I know. They had two skiers behind the boat (uphill) with about 40' of rope each attached to where the rudders would have been. Looked kinda like water skiing. Those two would steer the boat by skiing to the side, pulling on the back of the boat. Steering from that position, they couldn't really see where the boat needed to go. The people on board would scream directions "left...More LEFT...ARRRRGGGGGGG!"
