Crap! Anyone had trouble fitting mini lite copies

I purchased a set of mini lite copies from Victoria British. The rears fit with no issue but the castlated nut on the tie rod end digs into the wheel! Hard enough to prevent them from turing! Anyone had an issue with this? I have the tires mounted now!

Yup, many people have this problem. You need to do a little grinding (or filing). It doesn't take much and you only need to angle off the forward corner.

hmm.. I meant file the castle nut/ tie rod end bolt.

Re: Crap! Anyone had trouble fitting mini lite cop

Thanks, I was about to do that but thought I'd check to see if I missed something in the selection of the wheels. Worst part is the adhesive wheel wieghts are also in the path of the tie rod ends....Maybe if I swap wheels around I can find a set that has less wieghts to move.

Check with Winners Circle for wheel spacers before you grind anything, generally if you are hitting tie rod the back spacing is off. It's shame you are experiancing this because the Superlite wheels I sell are not only a better wheel and fit better than VB wheels, but they cost less.

I just book marked your site. I wish I'd have found it when we were shopping for wheels. I'm less than impressed with the wheels we have now. I'm stuck with them now, tires mounted, and one wheel is scratched from trying to rotate it while it was rubbing on the Castle nut. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif
