Don't understand the color scheme under the bonnet & I hope he know that his brake is disconnected on one side.

Looks like a nice car. It's really close to me.

The text in the ad seems to imply a $15,000 price, which seems high, but maybe this is what they are bringing these days. I could buy five or six decent square Spridgets for that kind of money.

The owner implys that "he doesn't know much about these cars".....I always get suspicious when I read that sort of thing.

IMHO, It wasn't too bad until the bonnet was opened.

I know that it is cheaper to buy a "restored" car rather than do it yourself. But I do not think I would consider it unless I personally knew the restorer, or the restoration was extensively documented with photos and receipts.

The car actually looks to be in pretty good "nick". I don't get the two tone underneath either. Where did that yellow come from? That car has some pricey stuff on it but needs some work. It should be worth 10k anyways.

I think there is a lot that doesn't meet the eye! Slick cosmetics covering a can-o'-worms is my guess. Nice paint job, but why the hole on the cowl? (did anyone else notice?..looks like a rust-through!). A lot of shoddy work for what he is trying to portray. Too many glitzy pix that show nothing!! How about what the underside looks like?! Certainly a plethora of unoriginal parts (not that that is a bad thing, mind you!). And as a couple of you noticed... Yeah, it's no wonder the hand-brake stopped working, hehe!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif

From just what I can see I would expect he should get 8 to 10 K and maybe a bit more even if he would clean up the engine room. Looks like a 1275, etc etc.

From the pics it does look pretty good, until you open the bonnet. Whole thing does look a little suspicious. I would sure have to give it a careful "closeup." But, it's too far away for that.
