]COVID-19 BREAKING NEWS:

Men who are into classic vehicles are now thought most likely to carry the Corona virus without showing any signs or symptoms.

The best course of action is to avoid women and children to prevent the spread of the virus.

Workshops sheds and Garages have been recognised as the safest self isolation areas by the World Health Organisation and you must now self isolate for 14 days.

Ensure you have with you, your laptop, PayPal details and plenty of tea coffee and milk and beer.

In the event you cannot finish that random project you’re working on, take the opportunity to tidy the garage in peace, reorganise tools, or simply plan out the next bonkers idea or plan.

Also works for the flu, foot and mouth and any other contact related infections containing the word social in the description. Can however induce ā€œdad/grandpa/uncle is weirdā€ syndrome in teens…

Sigh, got my shot last week and son got his today.

Wife got her booster last week, Moderna. I am scheduled for mine Thursday. We get ours through the Cherokee Nation health center in Tahlequah, 18 miles from us. They actually call us at home to tell us when to be there. I'll be glad when it's over. PJ

Went to the Kroger pharmacy today to pick up a prescription. The Pharmacist said if you want the covid shot there is a couple of no show appointments available. So I put my name on the list and got the first shot. Moderna.
So far no issues.

We have had all our shots but still wear masks as before. Auto supply, lumber yard, and the grocery store are the only places I'll go. People are still dying in high numbers and some folks just don't get it, they still disregard wearing a mask in public, mostly the younger set who seems not to care!

Showed this to my wife last night. She got a chuckle out of it.

Friends of ours have driven several hundred miles to get a dose.
Ironically the pharmacy where I got my a missed appointment dose has a lot of patients from out of town or out of state. They sign up then do not show up so the pharmacy may end up having to dump it if they can't get people in quickly. Have heard of them making an announcement in the store saying there are shots available now.

Wife and I got our 2nd in Feb. still where masks when out. I spent all summer under my TR 6. I guess that was a safe place to be as it did not fall on me.
There is a time and palace for everything! Dyeing is not a good time or place. It's just a mask go with it if just to drive our LBC another day.

It's been VERY difficult to get vaccinated here in Oregon due to a overwhelmed State-run system. So, the key to getting one with relative ease is to know when to go to on-line registration at local pharmacies. Our "Safeway/Alberton's" website posts a weekly sign-up calendar at about 5:15pm on Thursdays... and therein lies the trick (because during the rest of the week, as well as about an hour after posting, all slots are gone).
I'm coming up on my second Moderna shot in a week.

Wife and I got our second shots 2 weeks ago. Me Pfizer, she Moderna. I had absolutely no ill effects other than a sore arm for one day. She had a slight fever and felt lousy for one day only. So far so good.

I have to wonder if the sore arm is due to how the injection is done. I see videos on the news where they squeeze the plunger very quick. Liquid isn't compressible so I'd think that much being introduced into the body would do some bruising.

Neither the wife nor I had any ill effects from our shots, the wife had a slightly sore arm the next day but nothing else, I had zero soreness. (y)

It is a muscle injection, I think they inject the fluid in the muscle and as you move the arm it disperses it in increments. Just my 2 cents. Yep, sore arm for a day.

Was talking to a friend yesterday and his suggestions was ice the spot for about 20 minutes when you get home

Yep... as an intramuscular injection, it will ache almost by definition.

My wife and I both got Moderna but at different pharmacies. Mine was just like a flue shot but very high up on my arm. My wife said they put a band aid type of thing on her arm and did the shot through the band aid. It had a clear plastic film over the band aid.

We both had a little soreness at the injection site but nothing serious.
