Courtesty, dash & trunk lights - commonality?

Is there a common ground point for these lights?
All my other lights are working great, but now the instrument lights and courtesy and trunk lights are not working.
They were all working about a week ago!
I have to admit it seems coincidental that they stopped working about the time I got my tach to work again.

I would believe you knocked something loose when you were fiddling with the tach. There is a couple of plugs right there. Might be that you can remove the left most dash brace and get in there to make sure everything is making contact.

Nope - it was coincidental.

The first problem (dash / instrument lights) was solved when I remembered the hazard switch relationship. I rocked that switch a couple times this morning & the dash lit up!

Then this afternoon I got out my volt meter and looked at the fuse block.
The top fuse has the hot brown wire on one side a two purple wires (really 3) on the other.
I had 13VDC on the brown side & nuthin' on the other.
I pulled the connectors off, hit the spades with some 600 sandpaper, pulled the fuse & sanded off the green stuff.
Hooked it back up & now everything is working!!

 (how often can you say that about your spridget?)

I know, just wait a day or two - something else will happen...

OK, I'll bite, what is the hazard switch relationship?

The relationship seems to be that whenever I have some lights that don't work right flipping the hazard switch a few times always restores at least some of them.

interesting - add that to my must try list. I guess having no lights qualifies as a hazard - thanks
