So I think it was Nunyas who asked what I had in mind to block off the gaping space twixt rad and shield... A section of the OLD windshield bottom seal! That'll teach th' bloody thing to mess with ME!! I think it looks a LOT better than the "foam" alternative, too.

Not final fit yet but you get the idea:

What a good idea.

DANG!! I learned something today!

And about time too. hehe

dah, twer me that asked about your rad gap. I must say, that looks a heck of a lot better than my zip-tie + lime green closed cell foam solution.

I dare not post pics of my Frankenstien under-hood treatment. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

I ~DID~ consider a neon green pool noodle. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

The V/C is done with Plasti-kote #217 Wrinkle paint. Have a second and a spare set of fasteners/washers wot are getting plated. It was on a whim, BTW... the dash came out so well I decided it would look okay onna V/C too.

I intend to use 3M Weatherstrip Adhesive to secure the seal "the first time." We'll see... It is 'pinched' at both ends between rad and shield as well. May need to rig up a mechanical method if the chemistry proves inadequate. It's a "work in progress". This is evidence of 'racer mentality': Whatever ya got to hand, make it work. MacGyver it!

*snork* Ooops.

I hit th' "back button", didn't "see" it drop twice... then I walked away to grill pancakes. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Turkey baster. I only put it on the 'runners.' Tricky to flip, but concentration has its rewards: Spaghetti Pancakes.

We're having the full english breakfast here today. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
