Countdown to "O"town

We're leavin' on a jet plane....this Thursday for Orlando. 10 days of warmth(Even though its still hot here) beach, parks, parks, good food, parks.... And hopefully a visit with BCFers.
Vacations are rare here, so this is a biggie. I'm getting excited. So much to do, and only 10 days to do it. I think I need the break from work too. Things have been tense lately.

Re: Countdown to "O"town

Still too warm for me here but at least the mornings are starting to get cooler. Oh yeah... go to Walmart and buy a few $.88 rain ponchos

Prep yourself for crowds. The first and second weeks of October are usually pretty busy, but I think you're hitting it a lot better than if you were showing up on the 7th. Hitting the parks around Columbus Day can be tedious. I heard from someone that the moderate-priced Disney hotels were pretty much full.

Re: Countdown to "O"town

Ben,

I think you need to visit Doc while you're there.

Re: Countdown to "O"town

Doc's on the list. That's gonna be fun. As for the parks... we have 4 day passes to the Disney parks and a 1 day pass for Universal studios (Dot and I like Harry Potter). So we're gonna hit the parks on weekdays hoping to have slightly thinner crowds. It's been over 15 years since I've been to Disney/Epcot. So I expect it to be completely different.
I've never been a huge "theme park" kinda guy. I'm more of a "State Park" or "National Park" person. I expect to be theme parked-out by day 2. Stock up and keep the CABs cold Doc! I'll chip in for the extras when I get there.

He's about 1.5-2 hrs away from there.

Always try to keep well stocked, sir. BTW, what's this "extras"? No sucha thang.

You may miss meetin' 'smits. She's goin' to visit her folks for the week.

...it just occurs to me this could mean trouble.

Re: Countdown to "O"town

You guys can see the new avatar?! I tried uploading it 20 times. I still see my old one. I must need to check a setting or something...
We watched Back To the Future last night. I was 9 when it came out, and have dearly wanted a DeLorean ever since. It also cemented Christopher Lloyd as one of my favorite actors. It was time for a new avatar anyway. Now I just wish I could see it....
Home alone? unsupervised? Doc? uh oh..this could be interesting. Course I'm gonna have the clan in tow with me...family vacation. I don't think SWMBO would care for me takin' off for a day without her and dot.

Re: Countdown to "O"town

Excellent! I loved him in Taxi as well. I never saw that episode (I haven't seen too many altogether). A very young Tom Hanks too. I love his face when he tries the brownie.
P.S. Basil straightened me out on my avatar. I can see it now.

Gotta love Taxi.

Why does TV have to suck today?

We are always watching the retro channels.

Don't care too much for modern mindless dribble....

Re: Countdown to "O"town

Easier, better, more sensible if I meet you there, Ben.
