Corvair - Tony Dow's

I would take my first ride back right now too! 1957 Chevy 210 Post, drove for 3 yrs and traded to impress the girls!

Oh the 60's were a much simpler time - "Introducing the Monza Spyder. An elegant package with turbocharged scat." and "Oldsmobile Jetfire, supplemented by the addition of “Turbo Rocket Fluid.”

Let's see if I can remember this. I know the number probably isn't right. 1955 entry, by 59 or so it had all changed:

The new exciting Toyopet
Has features galore!
176 of them
Who could ask for more!

So for the most in driving pleasure
you'll be so relaxed...

In the Toyopet
The newest
Imported Family Car.

Lasted less time than the SOObaroo...the two stroke nightmare that was yanked, re-engineered and returned with same spelling as a SuBaru.

Toyopet lasted (as a brand name in North America) a couple of years I think...came back as Toyota.

Trivia question: What is the Japanese word for the "Pleiades" constellation? Subaru! Thus their logo.

Yup...And I had a customer with an OLD baru with a custom plate that said just that.

Probably a LOT in the real constellation... though if we go with the Subaru logo, maybe 6.

Seven - representing the companies owned by them -
(Fuji Heavy Industries).
........and I did that without looking it up!
All those hours spent reading car magazines in class
CAN pay off.

Dang. That was my second guess. I thought it was one big one, then 3 small ones, then 2 more small ones.

According to the front of my Legacy, 6. One big one, one slightly smaller and 4 small ones.
Now - one more. Jeep sued to protect its grille pattern. How many vertical openings in a Jeep grille?

OK, I just saw a Subie and it had 6 stars.
