Correct hose from water pump to bottom of radiator?

The radiator hose that goes from the water pump down to the lower radiator outlet just blew. (Just by dumb luck, it sprang a leak while sitting in my garage after a short drive.) I have a 1275 in a Bugeye with a downflow radiator. When I checked both Moss Motors and Victoria British, they both list two such hoses, one for the 948 and 1098 (VB #2-573, Moss #470-380), and a different one for the 1275 (VB #2-499, Moss #470-385). The one that blew was inherited from my 948 after the engine swap, but now I'm not sure which one to buy. Does anyone know which would be the correct one for my car?

I didn't know that there was a difference. I looked at the Moss Europe site and found three different ones for the 1275cc engine depending on the material from which the water pump is made. They only have one of the three available, the same one as listed for 948 and 1098cc engines.

I may have a spare, I will check later to9day.

Thanks, but keep your spare - you will need it one day. :smile-new: I'm going to order the one listed for the 948 since I know that would be for a Bugeye, and that's the hose I had been using until it wore out.

FYI ..Would recommend you call Moss etc. and explain the above because as mentioned in a earlier post there's different OD's inlet's on the pump
