Correct emblems for sides['63Alpine GT SIII]

Underneath the "Alpine" script on the sides, I have 3 holes for an emblem. All of the pictures I've seen show a chrome surround with a black insert, indicating the engine displacement. However, I have seen some very nice chrome triangular emblems with the Rootes rearing Lion crest offered for sale. Were these a factory option? Will they fit my existing hole-spacing? If noone knows what I'm referring to, I can email a picture to the moderator.

The correct one for you is the chrome surround and a platic badge with the number 3 for the series 3 Alpine. The only ones to use an engine were early tigers and series 5 Alpines. The others you refer to are probably the Tiger rear fender badges and they don't fit the holes as factory drilled, they used two studs.
