TR2/3/3A Coolant overflow bottle

Hi Folks.

Is the TR4A coolant overflow bottle a good choice for a TR3A?

The TR3A appears to have very limited space to the right of the radiator, below the horn, to fit anything.

Have others found a better solution?
Thanks.
Ron

I have two tr3s that have two 5/16 holes drilled in the driver firewall for something. The holes could be for a windshield washer bottle, I am not sure.

My experience has been when the radiator is functioning correct with a 4lb cap, basically not plugged and clean, the radiator does not over flow.

The radiator would over flow if I filled it to the top, but I keep it about an inch or so below the top with no over flow.

The long neck acts as a surge tank IF, it is not over filled, Too much coolant will get spit out.
Every car has a heat surge on shutoff.......

I put a TR6 overflow bottle on my TR4 with the no neck radiator.

Like Mad dog has said TR3 has the long neck radiator and should not need the overflow bottle as the neck serves that function.
