coolant leak

Got the spridget out 2 weeks ago for local autocross. Started right up. Ran great. Today I got her out to do an oil change. After the oil change started up and found a coolant drip on the floor. Coolant seems to be dripping from the bottom of the timing cover. Area around water pump seem dry. No water in the oil when changed. ideas?

At a guess I'd suspect it's leaking a tiny amount from the water pump gasket and traveling around the edge of the timing cover gasket until it reaches the bottom where a drip can form. Some of the replacement water pumps were quite poorly made and were in fact convex at the sealing surface. I've had a leak from one of these, resolved by milling the pump's gasket face flat. Of course worn water pump bearings leaking from the weep hole at the bottom of the pump could also follow the timing cover path. Put some dry paper towel in the timing cover gasket gasket gap halfway down and see if you trap some moisture once it's warmed up & pressurized again.
