Re: Cool litle Smith's Replica clock

Gary, how does that compare, size wise to the gauges (oil, temp, etc.) in the 250/TR6 dashboards? It looks as if the inner gauge would almost match our gauges in the dash. It might need black paint around the inner circle of the bezel for some, but may just be a good fit.

Thanks,

Re: Cool litle Smith's Replica clock

I've been looking for a clock like that to mount in the glovebox door. Is that one 12V ? If not too deep it looks like a good candidate for the glovebox.

Re: Cool litle Smith's Replica clock

oh i just have to say this,
i looked at your pictures and i see a problem. the rubber mat under your car is not full of oil. your car must be out of oil. i'd check it if i were you. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: Cool litle Smith's Replica clock

There is no such thing as British car being out of oil. There is always oil somewhere in the car. Perhaps not exactly where it should be, but there nonetheless.

Re: Cool litle Smith's Replica clock

Hey Gary,...just checked Restoratio Hardware's web site, and I couldn't find any reference to the clock....I'd like to have a couple as stocking stuffers for some British car fans.
Googled Smiths , and didn't find anything there either. Am I just overly "dim".
Thanx for your help Bob

Re: Cool litle Smith's Replica clock

That's part of the problem with Resto Wharehouse, I think they get odd lots & when they are gone, there gone.

I'll see if I can get some additional info on mfg/etc.

It runs off an "AA" battery, so that's an easy hook up. I didn't check the size; will do. I was also thinking of in the glove box door.

Funny, no responses & then 4 in 1 day!!

I know I should have picked up all of them & ebayed for $25 each!!! lol. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Re: Cool litle Smith's Replica clock

Saw a post on team, net about them several months ago. They picked one up too and also stated Made In China out of plastic so for $15 probably, $25 probably not.

Re: Cool litle Smith's Replica clock

For 25 bucks, they're still a GREAT gift...you're buying a "Smiths" gauge, every British car guy or gal can relate to that, ...Hey, if it doesn't work, that will only add to the charm.
Take care Bob

Re: Cool litle Smith's Replica clock

But does it leak oil? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif
