Hi,
first post here. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what is to be changed when converting a MGB GT from right hand drive to LHD?
There is two part of the dash.
Steering rack (please confirm)
anything else?
Thanks you evryone for any help you can bring.
Datch (from France)

Wow, that should be pretty easy since there are lots of people with parts here in the US. It's the dash, steering rack, and all of the petals and lines you will have to swap. There might be more though.

The pedals and lines just have to switched sides, ain't they? no need to change them, if I read you correctly?
I'm not in th US though...

You will need to use lines from LHD cars, or make new ones. I don't think you will just be able to switch sides with them. There are many people here in the US that have extra parts that you will need. I know you are in France, but it should be able to find the parts over here and have them shipped.

Wow! A RHD B...why change it? I drive a RHD MGTD and love it! Not much problems with the RHD, and it sure turns heads when you tool around.

So I have to find a way to manage the lines..

So I can sell it easily when I want to sell it.

eh? Wouldn't you be able to sell a RHD faster because of its rarity in a world of LHD cars? I know in the circle of friends that I grew up with we all would have paid extra for an original RHD vehicle... That's just me and my circle of friends though. I dunno what the market surveys says though.

Agreed, RHD should bring a higher price. If your converting & fixing up to sell, you better watch out...not many B's can be sold for what the owner has into the restoration. Not the best car to fix to sell for profit...best to fix for enjoyment & driving...
