This is the one that seals the top to the windscreen frame.
Is there a simple way to fit this seal?
Any information would be appreciated.

No, this is one of those grin-and-bear-it procedures. If your header bow seal channel is bent, try to straigthen it as best as possible. I found that lubricating the seal with silicone spray or the like helps quite a bit. In the really difficult areas, you can try to wedge the seal in the channel with a blunt screw driver.

I just did this this weekend on my 75 tr6. I had a hard time sliding the seal through the channel even after using silicone spray. I ended up using a flat head screw driver to wedge the seal into the channel. I established what I thought was the center of the seal at the center of the channel and worked my way to both ends. It took about 30 minutes and I ended up trimming a bit at both ends with a utility knife. Good luck.

Thank you gentlemen.
One more thing, which way does the seal fit? Large section at the front or rear?

I placed the thick part of the seal back. As I looked at it, I found that if it was placed thick part foreward the seal layed flush with the header of the soft top. Placing it back made the thick part of the seal perpendicular to the header and seemed more likely to create an effective seal against the top rail of the windscreen. I haven't had it out in the rain but the seal made good contact and looks like it should work. Good luck.
