Group,
I am trying to get my car ready for Triumphfest and one of the items is the convertible top. Is the frame the same for a 3 and 3A? I will be getting my frame on the 17th but have access to a different frame from a 58 car prior to that and was thinking of fitting the top if it is the same.

thanks for the info

I one bought a top that came new with a TR2 back in the day (he never used it) and put it right on my 1959 TR3A. Fit fine so I would say they are all the same.

They are the same, make sure you get the little triangle shaped pieces that screw onto both ends of the frame. That's what's used to connect it to the car. The TR4 frame looks similar, but it won't work.

Frames are the same but the positioning of the bows to the straps may vary. This will be a fitment task when you have your frame -- not sure if it affects your plan to pre-fit with a different frame.
