Convertible Minis

What's the word on convertible minis? I am assuming that they are all custom jobs, but so far I like what I have seen. Are they good drivers or do they have a lot of scuttle shake? I wasn't sure how they were supported since the roof was such an incremental part of the structure support in the original design.

There was an official factory convertible of the Mini in the 1990's, of course never seen over here.

However all throughout the years of the Mini various professional coachbuilders (and likely homebuilders too) have made Mini convertibles. I don't know how they are structurally, but I have seen some conversions with a roll bar and some without the rollbar as well.
