I run my 100 in VSCCA race events. It curently has BN1 front drums and I want to convert to the wider BN2 drums. Any thoughts on what this entails ? thanks jtb

JTB, You might give Bruce Phillips a call at Healey Surgeons I am sure he can answer your question.---Keoke

JTB, you may also want to consider a disk brake conversion. Cape International has a kit I installed for a friend, made a great improvement in stopping power. A bit $$$ but the owner was happy with the cost / performance ratio.

You are certainly right about the Cape products being pricey, but they sure have some good hardware upgrades for the Healey cars.I have ordered the top trunion bearings for my cars and will not regret getting rid of the Bronze and brite washer bit.---Keoke /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

Thanks for the input. As the VSCCA does not permit discs while it is I agree the best upgrade, Has anyone gone done a Bn 1 to BN 2 conversion. thanks jtb

A fellow VSCCA member has provided spindles, backing plates and shoes and I have sourced the bearings, distance pieces, shims etc from the Healy Surgeons and will be making the conversion this spring. thanks all jtb

VSCCA Does not permit disks; /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Hey JTB55, Aren't the Daimler SP250 cars running in VSCCA? They have Disk brakes!. You need good brakes so you can brake late in the corners.---Keoke /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

VSCCA has rules for each type of car which are administered by the Car Classification Committee. I checked with the committee and for the AH 100 discs are not permitted. It may be different or the sp250. thanks jtb
