OK, we've picked on lawyers and preachers; now it's time to give someone else a chance.

Architects are said to be those who know very little about a great deal, and keep knowing less and less about more and more, until they know practically nothing about everything.

Whereas, engineers are those who know a great deal about very little and who go along knowing more and more about less, until finally they know practically everything about nothing.

Contractors start out knowing practically everything about everything, but end up knowing nothing about anything, due to their association with architects and engineers.

I don't agree.
Contracters keep the architect and the engineer out of trouble but never get the credit for the fantastic job.

Hmmmm, wouldn't happen to be a contractor by any chance? Actually I would agree to a point, contractors tend to know what will or will not work, which keeps certain flights of fantasy within realistic parameters.
