Contemplating...No Stop That!

So this weekend moving junk around the basement I came to the realization I've got enough bits and pieces to build a complete engine. I've got a block, two cylinder heads, two cranks, a couple of camshafts, all the outside bits.

Then I came to my senses. Time and money need to be spent on the project I already have going just getting Midgie running reliably.

Right... send those bits to me and I'll put them to good use.

But, but, how are we going to catch Tony?

If I started in earnest today I don't think I could ever catch up with the stores that Tony has.

Once I'm "comfortable" with progress on Midgie I may start putting another engine together. I'd like to have one as a test bed to try out different bits and pieces.

I always thought it would be fun to build an extra engine and keep my eye out locally for one. It would not be fun if I was having to rebuild the one in the car and couldn't go for a drive whenever I wanted.

Just remember: whoever dies with the most spare parts, wins!

Who ever dies with the most parts is still DEAD!!!

Yep, and whoever knows the widow who wants all that "car crap" cleared out of her basement/garage for a song is the real winner.

A good friend of mine once said that I could build a whole car from all my parts.
So I did. And I drove it for 12 years before I sold it.
And I still have way too many parts.

Car parts are sorta like rabbits ... they tend to multiply quickly. With that said, why is it that I can never find the part I'm looking for even though I know it's there somewhere?

Miss Agatha also seems to collect parts. It's as though she just can't beleive that when she needs something I will make sure she gets it.

Jack, Miss Agatha is collecting parts because she wants a "friend" in the garage with her....she is just making you THINK they are spares she may need one day....
