Well, the seller's an idiot and the provenance is nice but not exactly spectacular. It still looks like it's probably a good car. Starting bid's probably too high to get much action.

I loved the way the guy doesn't really know what the car is,BUT it's a true collectors car!
Coming from the otherside of the pond I had never heard of Connie Chung. Anyone got a picture? Is (or was) she a looker? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Connie is/was an anchor woman for one of our major networks. She has also hosted news programs and interview shows. I think that overall she is considered good at her job, but I don't think that make the car significantly more valuable than any other Jensen Healey.

Well at least the seller has a sense of humor--I posted a question to him asking if I would get to meet Connie personally and he answered back suggesting that I talk it over with Maury (Povitch, her husband).
 
I saw that too when I was cruising ebay yesterday. For some bizarre reason, I took me a few minutes until I realized that the seller had described the Jensen as an Austin Healey, and I kept muttering, that's not an Austin Healey.

So Joe, when are you cruising out on the Island to show me your celebrity car? We have a special lane for you, the HOV (Healey Only Vehicles) so it won't take you any time at all. If you let me know in advance, I'll tell Maury and Connie to drop by to give you advise on 8 track maintenance.
