After reading only my 3rd issue of Healey Marque Magazine I would like to congratulate Reid and all the others involved on such a fine publication. The quality of the magazine is exemplary and the articles are informative and pertinent. Thank you all again. Dave.

Thanks Dave and all.

Since the first time I became editor (and producer, publisher, designer, manager, content-chaser-in-chief, etc.) of a national Healey club publication (that was in 1984), my priority was to produce a magazine that was not so much a "club magazine" with stories about the club and its activities, but rather I wanted to make it a general-interest magazine on Healeys so that any Healey enthusiast, anywhere, would find it entertaining and worthwhile. Healey Marque does include a column that wraps up chapter doings, but it's only 5-6 pages of the 40- (or sometimes 4:cool: page mag.

Glad to know you're enjoying it, and so much more good stuff is on tap. For example, I'm currently finalizing the content of the May issue and it includes:

  • The story of a member's 40-year ownership of his Healey.
  • A tech piece by this forum's own Steve Gerow.
  • An interview with a former employee of the Donald Healey Motor Company.
  • John Nikas's review of the Marathon de la Route, the most grueling of the rallies on the circuit.
  • A terrific photo printed across both pages of the center spread. The photo is from Donald Healey's never before seen personal records.
  • The Healey Museum's report on the 1956 Bonneville Salt Flats record attempts, with some never-before-seen photos.
  • Bill Young's tech piece on installing a voltmeter and ammeter.
  • And the usual stuff: my column (yes, I know, yawn), the club prez's column, the activities list, the registries list, and the classified ads.

If you're interested in Healeys, I believe you'll really enjoy it. Anyone not already getting it, you can join here and get it 11 times per year with a calendar as the "12th issue" in December. I hope you'll give it a try.
