con-rod dimension

Anybody know the large end dimension on my BT7. I have a work shop manual and 2 other manuals and none of them have the dimension. I guess I could take crank pin size and bearing shell thickness on each side and oil clearance and that would get me close. That might be how Healey did it.

I mean connecting rod large end size. Can't find the size anywhere. Want to resize them all back to specs.

Found specs from Federal -Mogoul Rod size 2.1140 to 2.1145

That is what the empty bore (sans bearing shell inserts) of the connecting rod is supposed to be?

Sorry that I haven't been able to measure the ones I have yet, but I have issues...

... issues with both space and cleanliness. Since there's no available flat space left in the garage, I have to use the kitchen counter, and the rods are not yet clean enough to bring into the house!

Randy, Yes rod bore without inserts. Sounds like addition time for the garage or give the wife a kitchenette somewhere and take over the whole kitchen !

I get away with quite a lot (see below)...

My wife wants granite (or quartz?) counter tops, so she's hoping I scratch the existing laminate ones__I'm very careful on them, as I'd rather spend the money on new tools!

My fiancee would draw the limit on the counter tops ! She got me a Healey clock for the garage and has 2 cases of cold ones in the fridge, but that put her over the top. She does like the smell of brake-cleaner though ! She's a keeper!
