I was right! They dropped support for OS-2-Warp December 16th 2005 and dumped the whole program December 23rd, 2005. It was an IBM/Microsoft program. Had some nice graphics and I personally thought they were on to something at the time, but they didn't design many programs that would work with it. Possibly the partnership failed.

...shoulda bought Lotus bits instead.

No, I was just ribbing Doc with programs I use that aren’t offered for Linux users. Looks like they have a version certified for Vista now, if you are interested. SolidWorks

Thanks for the link, I’d like to play with Maya, but I’m not sure if it would do what I need. I use Photoshop and Illustrator to make different props for movies. Making collaged photos that are copyright free (read no law suit for the studio), FBI badges, etc. The $3000 entry level price is pretty steep also. Gotta spend that on the car!
 
Maya would be a bit of overkill, I s'pose.

'smits is the resident Adobe fan. We went to the Maya 'rollout' a while back, SG had it running on a Sun machine... on WINDOWS! To be fair, it was NT5. it was 10x3K dollars then. When I asked if they'd plans to port it to Linux there was a hush in the auditorium. The spokesperson said yes, they were working on it. I thought it was all bassackwards that they were going to the Windows OS first but I guess the sales weasels and marketing were the decision makers.
We haven't got it yet, the business plan shifted (meaning we went bust). /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif
In future it will be the Linux version if at all. Herself can do about all we need with the Adobe (and I still use Corel) stuff now.
