I have various photo accounts and all of them work perfectly, with the exception of one! Photobucket! I have been registered with them for over 10 years and until the past year or so, everything worked as it should. Now, every time I open a Photobucket image, it shows for about one second and then the screen goes blank! Makes no difference who's photo it is or who's displaying it, if it's a Photobucket presentation, the screen goes blank. Even contacting Photobucket doesn't resolve the problem, they haven't a clue! Doesn't say much for their staff does it. Over the years I've accumulated tones of photos on their site and now would like to retrieve them all, but that can't be done if I can't see my photos. All I get from them is apologies, which I don't need. If this is just an issue with me and no others, does anyone have a clue what a cure would be? PJ

Paul - try using a different browser (Firefox, Safari, etc.). Does your Photobucket problem occur on all the browsers you use?

Hmmm, Will check Tom. Thanks, PJ

Photobucket's always been an issue with me. Never bothered to open another one, so I've just muddled along with it. When they upgraded it a while back it got somewhat better, but still not the easiest to use.

Yeah, with "bucket" in the name you really can't expect the highest performance.

...now if they pronounced it "Boo-kay"....

I'm a PB user, and so far I like it best of the ones I've tried. But my current peeve with them is that they removed the "download library" option in their latest re-write, and appear to have no intention of putting it back.

Part of the difference, though, is that I don't trust "the cloud" for anything. I use PB strictly as a sharing mechanism; anything I consider important is on multiple computers, hard drives and DVD backups.

FWIW, I use Firefox 23 on Windoze XP, with extensions to block scripts, ads and cross-domain references. A lot of the PB problems I have seen seem to be related to their advertiser support (which after all is how they make money, TANSTAAFL), so blocking that crap makes them work better for me.

Tom, I switched my account to the new Fire Fox and the photos are coming up! Don't know why I didn't do this before. But one thing for sure, the new PB isn't as easy to use for me as the older program. I have a tough time now of moving photos elsewhere. I can't find a batch program within it. Have to move one file at a time! At least it's working now. PJ

Paul - glad you see some improvement. Ever since April Photobucket has pushed its "download album" feature. Unfortunately it still hasn't been implemented. Even their Help page hasn't been updated since July.
