Coil Springs

Well I managed to get everything apart on the front end so I could change the bushes. Here is a picture of the coil springs. The one without the spacer appears slightly taller. I don't see any cracks in the spring with the spacer. Should I replace springs or just remove spacer?

Evidently the springs are not a matched set and that's why someone put in a spacer to make them equal in height. Coil springs are not expensive. Do yourself a favor and get a set of new ones of the proper height for your car. Never cheat on suspension, steering and brakes! The cost could be too high! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nonod.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nonono.gif PJ

Definitely remove the spacer....new coil springs aren't expensive - buy them!

I agree with everyone else... just get a new set. They're not that expensive and yer kidney's will appreciate it .... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks guys . It's nice to see you all agree. I will purchase new springs.
