coil spring height

Does anyone know the factory specs on coil spring height for a BJ7 (probably the same as late BN7 through BJ8)? Can't find it in the workshop manual. Mine measure 10.5" with a height gage and I assume they are original because I can see the evidence of the color stripes that the factory used.

Cheers,
John

Do you mean unladen height? This will depend entirely on the stiffness of the spring in question. I've just put what Denis Welch calls standard coils (their code suf123) from a BJ8 on my 100-6 on their recommendation - it rides beautifully and sits very well. The springs - unladen - are a good 1.5 inches shorter than my old 100-6 springs - the height really isn't the whole story!

Why not ask DW what they recommend for your application? New springs aren't too expensive and if yours are of fthe car anyway...
