What would be the best choice? I have the Mallory Distr. I need to replace the coil, and want to get a good one.

My 8 is tough on coils. It came with a Lucas which I swapped with a MSD... after 2 years it burned out and luckily the Lucas coil was still rolling around in the trunk so I swapped it out. Replace it shortly after that with an Accel which burned out within a year... so the Lucas coil came out of the trunk and brought me home. A new Accel replaced the Lucas for about two years and it left me sitting about 80 miles from home. Lucas in the trunk to the rescue again. I am debating weather to just leave it in now.
 
What's up with the coil burning. It's got to be a problem somewhere. It it a 12v vs. 6v deal. This is in my plans to and got to see if others are having this problem.
 
I had initially thought the same but Accels seem to have a short life even according to their warranty department and that combine with poor placement of the coil too close to heat sources (my fault) probably resulted in the death of at least two of them
