I want to build a coffee table out of an engine block, pistons, a head & thick piece of glass - I want it to look like a complete engine but use pistons to hold the glass.....anybody got ideas?

That would depend on the type of engine. I'm guessing you weren't thinking of a V8? :laugh:Silverghost said:A coffee table would seem to dictate the engine laying on it's side, exhaust side down.
No, probably a gutted Midget engine - it's for the gameroom I'm building over the garage.GregW said:That would depend on the type of engine. I'm guessing you weren't thinking of a V8? :laugh:Silverghost said:A coffee table would seem to dictate the engine laying on it's side, exhaust side down.

Fear not Terri! the added weight of the coffee table is far outdone by the reduction in weight of your wallet!!!terriphill said:I know you have probably seen this here before. I love this idea, but I can't quite get past how much this would weigh.

I'd stay away from a British engine, it'll just leak oil on the carpet.tony barnhill said:No, probably a gutted Midget engine - it's for the gameroom I'm building over the garage.
