While on the subject of accessories - coco mats are once again available. Some may recall these were period piece options for sports cars in the 70's and they still look quite stunning and appropriate.

Of course, they are no longer $49 like they were in 1975. Now $129 for a pair for the TR.

Go to cocomats.com Jeff is a great guy and will do custom work - he did a beautiful rear deck mat for the back of my wife's Explorer. BTW - Jeff's mats have a heavy rubber backing and are far more durable overall than the old ones.
 
The rubber backing is good.

I remember why the coco & sisal mats fell from favor in the 70s: they were sold as 'long-wearing', & they were, but as they were unbacked, basically what happened was that as the tough coco & sisal mats endured on top, the tough coco & sisal mat surface on the bottom wore through the carpet on the floor like scrubbing it with sandpaper.
 
Right you are. We used to go through them all the time. The newer ones are far more durable.
 
I bought a set for my Audi from Jeff in 2000, and have purchased several sets for other cars since. VERY high quality. He'll also do custom work if you send him a template.

The rubber backing also has heavy nubs to keep them from sliding and can probably hold a gallon of water without taking a leak on your floors.
