My Bugeye project is moving along and I had planned on a A-15 with 5 speed install. I purchased both. Now I am having second thoughts wanting to retain 1275 set up (with 5sp Datsun). I need a complete motor since the 1098 is stuck. It appears I can purchase a complete Spridget as cheap as a core 1275 engine.

By the time I purchae a spridget and have car shipped to my home in South Carolina I would have a good lump of cash but a complete car. Most I have been finding would have parts left over I don't need: a complete 3.90 rear end, rib cage transmission, doors hood trunk, wheels, disc brake for conversions, fuel cell, windsheilds etc.. you get the idea.

I was hoping that I could off set the expense of buying and shipping car to get me a 1275 core by selling some of the large parts to those who need them. I have checked on buying used 1275s and most are not complete missing carbs generators etc.. So a Complete car would solve many issues.

The reason I have decide against the A-15 engine is what sounded easy, but now I see where the stock intake and carb will be issue making it not a simple swap. plus having to manicure Bugeye or oil pan to make it fit in the bottom area. And the 1275 is a good engine anyway. I just can not find anyone to even think about rebuilding one, but if I say Datsun engine the machine shops say no problem.

Anyone interested

Any manifold and carb setup on a 10CC will bolt on to a 1275 if your concerned about that. As to finding a parts car i would recommend just keeping you eyes open. Bound to be one show up locally.

Kurt.
