One of my students did a time-lapse video of a CNC program he ran in my lab.

CNC mill is Tormac single tool mill (we have two of these...great machines).
We also have a 10 HP Milltronics mill with 10 tool changer and a 5 HP Hitachi-Seiki CNC lathe with 12 tool changer. Plus some table-top CNC stuff.

(the piece he cut is a frame for a Scotch Yoke model steam engine)

Howdy Nial,

Being in the "Indexable Ceramic Cutting Tool" field all my life; Where the heck are the "Safety Cards"? You should have at least an "Air Blast" on the workpiece / End Mill to ge them chips out of there so; The Operator does`nt get his hands in there while that Mill is spinning at (SFM & IPM)?

PS: Lets see the same program done on "Inconel 718" or some "HT52100" mat`l!! Now that would be cool to watch!!

PPS: Then you can contact me for suggestions on running parameters with "Ceramic Tooling"!! "Fast & Dry"!!
