tr3 was sitting for few weeks when the clutch would not disengage the slave moves o.k. would that be the relese bearing
the car was fine when I parked it

When a car sits for a spell the clutch can 'freeze' to the pressure plate/flywheel.

Sometimes just cranking the engine with the car in gear, clutch pedal depressed, brake pedal depressed (and nothing in front of you) is enough to break it loose.

More drastic/exciting methods are available but try that first.

Lucky you... To break mine loose I had to jack up the rear end, rev it in gear, then have my wife abruptly release the jack.
