Clutch Slave Dust Cover

Hi Everyone,

I just replaced my leaky clutch slave with a new one but for some reason after a couple of pushes of the clutch, the dust cover slips off the slave cylinder?? Anyone else have this happen? Any remedy?

I forget which car it was, but I've had the same problem. A plastic tie-wrap around the outside of the boot, to hold it into the slot on the slave worked a treat.
 
If the "fork" , "shaft", what ever it's called that goes in and out of the slave cylinder is pitted, it can do that. When i changed mine, i got the cylinder only and reused the shaft/fork and it did the same thing. A little work with a wire wheel got it going.
 
I'm not sure what the make is but I will check tonight and post it. I wasn't too worried about the make at the time, I was just happy to find one in town. I have to have a look at it tonight to try and wrap a tie around the dust cover to try and keep it in place...

I had a look at the slave tonight but I couldn't see a brand name.. and the box it came in didn't have a brand on it either? So... I'm not sure.
