Clutch problems

Looking for help with a leaking clutch. Master and slave cylinders have been rebuilt however when pedal is depressed the slave piston comes out too far and the fluid comes out behind it. Clutch fork pin recently replaced and pushrods, clevis pins etc. seems to be in good shape? Pushrod travel was good and clutch operated perfectly prior to this.

Hello Crisis,

what car is it?, a few Triumph models have a small plate to which the slave cyclinder is attached and this is then bolted to the bell housing flange. Check if you have mis-fitted this, and will it move closer to the clutch release lever? i.e. fitted the wrong side of the engine back plate. The piston should be nearly fully in the cylinder when at rest.
