I got off the offramp and hey - no clutch!!!

I nursed it to the parking lot and parked it, then at lunch went out & checked it. The lower linkage had it's pin go bye bye.

So facilities had a bolt which I put in there that got me home then I addressed the situation.

Really scared me for a few minutes though!!
 
Ha, Ace Hardware should have the pins in many many sizes.
 
What's best to use there?
I just got a hardened bolt, two nuts and a lock washer - sandwiched the washer between the two nuts so the bolt was in there a little loose.
Will that work, or will that come loose and fall out too?
 
It is a clevis pin. Check the Moss Catalog page 31 item 39 for an example.

Clevis pins are also used on brake rods for the emergency brake and master cylinder rods.

I expect your solution will work but I like cotter pins thanks.
 
I need to train myself to go look at my parts car when these things come up.
I'll bet I have the original part there.
