TR2/3/3A Clutch Operating Shaft with bolt hole in wrong location?

I've heard that at some point in time,not sure when,there was a bad batch of clutch operating shafts being sold that had the locating bolt hole in the incorrect location?.....anyone else heard this?
 
News to me. The locating bolt was deleted later on anyway, so IMO you could safely just leave it out. The fork touching the carrier will keep the shaft from going anywhere.
 
Sorry my mistake. I meant to say the the hole in the clutch shaft that takes the operating pin and locks the fork to the shaft was drilled in the wrong location.
 
Ah, that would certainly be more serious. But again, I've not heard of that one.
